Oil spill cleanup, right where it spilled.
Tank batteries, wellheads, flowlines and pits, cleaned in place. HC Max binds the oil so native soil microbes can break it down, and most sites look clean the same day.
How in-situ oil cleanup works
No excavation, no hauling contaminated soil down the highway, and no landfill liability left behind.
Recover free oil
Standing oil comes off first, the same step every state requires before soil treatment.
Apply HC Max
The surfactant blend is mixed into the soil with water and agitation, binding the crude into small micelles.
Microbes go to work
Native soil microbes consume the bound oil. Sheen, smell and free oil are usually gone the same day.
Sample to closure
We sample TPH against your state’s cleanup level, such as 1% by weight for crude in non-sensitive areas in Texas.
Where we use it
- Tank battery and firewall spills
- Wellhead and flowline leaks
- Settling and production pits
- Condensate and other hydrocarbon by-products
- Smaller crude, fuel and condensate spills with Remedi-Zorb
Wyoming settling ponds
Three ponds, 75 × 75 ft and 5 to 6 ft deep, visibly clean the same day.
The $382,000 was the dig-and-haul quote.
Recent oil results
Visibly clean the same day, with no sheen, smell or free oil.
Visibly clean the same day.
Two weeks, for $1,200.
Questions we hear
Does treated soil have to be hauled off afterward?
No. The oil is broken down in place, and Remedi-Zorb is designed to stay in the soil after treatment.
What about saltwater mixed in with the oil?
Common on production sites. We treat the hydrocarbon and the sodium together, using HC Max for the oil and NaClean for the salt.
How fast can you mobilize?
[Confirm typical response time with Rob.] Product ships nationwide, and many crews treat smaller spills themselves with our dosing guidance.
